HP Wireless Assistant is a pre-installed HP application in most of HP Notebooks/Desktops that will allow you manage the power state of integrated wireless devices—such as the WLAN adapter, Bluetooth module, and WWAN adapter. HP Wireless Assistant has been updated to be compatible with Windows 7

HP Wireless Assistant 4.0 works with Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP 🙂

The HP Wireless Assistant reports the settings of integrated wireless devices in your computer. It provides the following functions:

1. Checks your computer at startup for integrated wireless devices
2. Displays the power status of each device
3. Alerts you when the status of a device changes
4. Enables you to turn off integrated wireless devices separately, or at the same time

HP Wireless Assistant  also provides notifications on the taskbar when the power state of an integrated wireless device changes.

To access HP Wireless Assistant  in Windows Vista, you need to click StartControl PanelMobile PCWindows Mobility Center Open Wireless Assistant.

To access HP Wireless Assistant  in Windows 7, you need to click StartControl PanelHardware and Sound Windows Mobility CenterOpen Wireless Assistant.

Tip: The best way to open HP Wireless Assistant is just type HP Wireless Assistant in Start Search box 🙂

  1. Hey asshole, you didn’t answer the question, “Do I need this?” And the answer is no, you don’t need this app to run bluetooth or wifi.
